We recently acquired Fluicity with a view to strengthening our presence in the public sector, including on an international scale. Fluicity is a start-up that offers a SaaS platform for community engagement, collective intelligence and decision-making support, playing an important role in the field of civictech as one of the first companies to do so in Europe. The platform has been used to organise over 2,000 citizen consultations in around a hundred local authorities in France and abroad.
Since its creation in 2015, Fluicity has managed to raise around 3 million euros from public and private investors in France and Belgium. Fluicity has also received numerous innovation awards, including at the MIT Awards and the BPI Innovation Competition. Fluicity also obtained Socially Responsible Company (ESUS) status in 2019. Its aim is to promote more open and sustainable decision-making processes in 21st century organisations.
Fluicity’s customers include more than a hundred public bodies, many of which are located abroad, such as the Brussels-Capital Region, the Walloon Region, the Moroccan Ministry of Water and the City of Cape Town in South Africa. For our part, we generate 50% of our turnover in the public sector in France, working with more than 80 departmental councils and around fifty local authorities. We are therefore pursuing our strategy of external growth and strengthening our international presence, particularly in Belgium, where Fluicity has its base in Brussels.
Fluicity’s online platform is a natural fit for our institutional customers, adding to our user relationship management solution. At a time when governments and public bodies are looking to innovate to offer their citizens innovative democratic participation tools, this new acquisition brings real added value to our E-gov offer. Furthermore, the Fluicity’s ability to win over major local authorities abroad is perfectly in line with our international growth strategy.
Pascal Charrier, Managing Director of Efalia.
We currently have over 2800 customers throughout the world, generating 18 million euros in turnover. Over the last six years, we have acquired seven companies, including the recent acquisition of ODYSSEE INGENIERIE, which specialises in the collaborative management of multi-channel information, processes, resources and related products.
EFALIA will enable us to strengthen our development capacities, including on an international scale. We are very motivated to join this solid, socially-responsible company, which is already active in the e-governance sector.
